< BACK Shell Removed from Rotisserie NEXT >

Unfortunately the pictures I took of the car just before I took it of the rotisserie didn't come out. So there are no pictures of the completed undercarriage. Here it is sitting on four milk crates. You can see that the engine compartment is painted semi-gloss black and that the firewall is painted the final body color.

Here's a side view. You may notice that I used black primer. I used up what was left of the black, which is $34 a quart, that I used to tint the primer I used for the undercarriage. Most of the black primer was removed during the paddle sanding process.

Here's a view of the firewall and upper cowel. You can see the body color on the upper cowl and in the trunk as well.

This closeup of the firewall shows the transmission tunnel area. The final shade of the undercarriage primer can be seen. Yes, it was that ugly.

Here's a view of the trunk area taken from the inside. Here you can see the final body color. It looks really good. From inside the trunk you can not tell that the quarter panels have been changed.

Here's the drivers side rear wheelwell area. Pretty primer color, huh ?

Here's the passenger side rear wheelwell area.

This picture was taken through the rear window opening. The firewall is ready for the dash to be installed. But I'll wait until after the car is painted.
