< BACK Paint NEXT >

Here is the doors and the hood ready for paint. I decided to paint the inside of the doors and the underside of the hood so that I could put these parts on the car prior to painting the rest of the car.

This also included the trunklid.

Here is the trunklid after painting. I initially installed the trunklid on the car so that I could get the hinges attached to the lid in the correct location prior to painting. This way the hinge bolts could be painted at the same time, just like the factory originally did it.

Here is the hood after painting.

This is the right hand door. Notice the two-tone paint ? The factory had painted the lower sections of the doors a light lime green metallic, as you may have see from the earlier pictures. I have yet to see another 69/70 with this green two-tone paint treatment. I'm not sure if this was a factory mistake, but I decided to stick with what it originally came painted as.
