< BACK Final Prime and Paint NEXT >

At this point it is the perfect time to install the new convertible top. I did this myself. The process involves bolting and unbolting the lower tack strip several times. To prevent damaging the paint the top should be installed prior to the final prime and paint. Here it is right after it was primed with a two part epoxy primer.

Here's another view of the primed car. All that's left is to unmask it, block sand it and spray the final color.

Here it is unmasked. It almost looks like a finished car now. The primer has a light sheen to it which makes it very easy to see any defects in the body work.
